The Borgo SantAnna in Monforte d'Alba

Borgo Sant'Anna is located in Monforte d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, a small village nestled in one of Italy's most important wine-producing regions. Here, a project is taking shape that unites dining, local culture, and identity, in a natural setting of hills, vineyards, and tranquility. The village represents a meeting point between rural culture and contemporary cuisine, where the landscape becomes an integral part of the gastronomic experience.

Borgo Sant’Anna and the Langhe area

Located in the hills of Monforte d'Alba, Borgo Sant'Anna is surrounded by Nebbiolo vineyards and a landscape shaped by generations of agricultural labor. This deep connection to the land defines the restaurant's identity, making the Langhe region a constant presence, not only in the landscape but also in the culinary philosophy. Dining at Borgo Sant'Anna means experiencing the region through raw ingredients, seasonality, and respect for local traditions.

The colors that tell an identity

The Borgo Sant'Anna brand is brought to life by seven colors, seven circles arranged like a bunch of grapes, symbolizing the Langhe and the small village that welcomes us. Each color represents a part of our history.

A visual identity that combines aesthetics and meaning, recalling the circle that encloses the village and the cluster that represents its soul.

Orange, the roots that nourish us.

Green, the hills of the Langhe.

Yellow, our mood: light, easy, fun.

Red, passion and flavour.

Viola, the skin of Nebbiolo grapes, used to make Barolo DOCG.

Blue, the quiet that envelops the village.

Brown, the land, the history and the peasant culture.

“Apt to become Barolo”: the value of time

In the Borgo Sant'Anna cellar, on the barrels where the Nebbiolo rests and slowly matures, a sign explains the essence of the project: "Apt to become Barolo." A simple yet meaningful expression, it encapsulates the idea of anticipation and transformation.

Wine aging in wood is poised to become one of the most iconic symbols of the Langhe, the fruit of patience, care, and respect for the raw materials. A journey that requires time, attention, and vision.

Cooking as an evolutionary path

The same philosophy guides Pasquale Laera's cuisine, founded on evolution, research, and respect for raw ingredients. Each dish is born from a constant dialogue between technique, memory, and the land.

It's a cuisine that changes over time, growing and refining service after service, always maintaining a conscious balance between tradition and modernity, without ever losing its identity.

The philosophy of Borgo Sant’Anna's cuisine

The Borgo Sant'Anna project was born in 2019 in Monforte d'Alba, from the encounter between North and South, between Mediterranean influences and the products that express the Langhe region. A natural dialogue in a land that has always been open to exchange. Cuisine thus becomes the language through which to express identity, memory, and belonging. Values such as humility, hard work, and respect unite the world of the vineyard and that of the kitchen, placing quality and the guest experience at the center.

Borgo Sant’Anna in numbers

A project that grows over time

Borgo Sant'Anna is a project deeply rooted in its setting, a hamlet of 84 residents in the heart of the Langhe, where the human dimension remains central. Surrounding this site is a winery boasting over 1,400 wines, an expression of the local winemaking culture and ongoing research.

In five years of operation, Borgo Sant'Anna has built a solid and recognizable path, culminating in the achievement of a Michelin Star, a symbol of quality, consistency, and vision.

The history of Borgo SantAnna

The Borgo Sant'Anna project took shape in 2019 in Monforte d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, as a meeting place for cuisine, local produce, and hospitality.

In 2020, an important recognition arrived: the restaurant received its first Michelin Star, confirming the direction it had taken and the value of the work done.

In 2021, the experience expands with the opening of the veranda nestled among the vineyards, a space designed to experience the landscape even more directly.

The journey continues in 2024 with the launch of Dietrolacucina, a space that showcases Borgo Sant'Anna from a more informal and contemporary perspective, while maintaining the project's core values.
